Our Approach To Driving Change in Child Welfare

Where Empathy Meets Expertise

In child welfare, we are deeply moved by the challenges faced by vulnerable families and children. To drive real change, we combine our empathy with solid data, guiding our actions with best practices. Our multi-disciplinary team’s global impact speaks to our commitment. We work with local, national, and international agencies, as well as independent organizations, to advance their efforts in protecting and supporting children and families.

Process Consultation

At IHS, we use a process consultation model to guide our work. This approach is based on the idea that organizations can tackle challenges more effectively when their managers and staff develop the skills to assess and solve problems themselves.

Instead of doing the work for our clients, we work with them. From diagnosing issues to implementing solutions, we collaborate closely with organizations, their leadership, and staff. This partnership empowers them to find and apply the best solutions and helps ensure that the changes are sustainable.

By engaging directly in the process, organizations not only address their immediate challenges but also build the capability to manage future ones (Schein, 1987).
