Susan has more than 35 years of experience working for governmental and non-profit organizations in a variety of capacities. As Communications Manager for the Institute for Human Services and the Child Maltreatment Policy Resource Center, Susan is responsible for communications, web development, product dissemination, and in collaboration with subject matter experts, the creation and delivery of online courses on child welfare topics. She is also involved in operations and coordination of multiple projects and initiatives.
Previously, for almost five years, Susan served as the Director of Administration and Marketing for the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, working closely with the Executive Director, Board, and committees that included Membership, Publications, and Events. During that time, she helped to double membership numbers and was the recipient of two APSAC awards for dedication to the Association.
Susan values collaboration in her work and is an expert at managing a wide variety of competing priorities, always with a “never stop learning” attitude that keeps the focus on new ideas and best practices.
In her free time, Susan enjoys Pilates, cycling, her two horses, and spending quality time with friends and family.
