Ms. Gruber became a training coordinator and adoption liaison for the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program (OCWTP) in 2005. She assists with curriculum and trainer development for foster care, adoption and kinship care training, and provides technical assistance and ongoing support to Ohio’s Regional Training Centers (RTCs). Ms. Gruber also conducts preservice and other training workshops for caregivers and adoptive parents.
Ms. Gruber’s previous experience includes Lutheran Social Services and the United Methodist Children’s Home where she counseled birthparents, prepared families for foster care and/or adoption, and provided post-adoption support to adoptees and their families. Ms. Gruber also has experience in providing individual and family therapy to adolescents and pre-adolescents in foster care.
Ms. Gruber holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University.
